Jackson, Mississippi \u2013 June 8, 2015 \u2013 Fisher Productions, LLC has released A Mississippi Love Story<\/i> free to the public via download on Vimeo. \u00a0The film is available at the following link:\u00a0 https:\/\/vimeo.com\/98754295<\/span><\/a><\/span><\/p>\n

Robbie Fisher, of Fisher Productions, LLC, states, \u201cIn anticipation of the approaching U.S. Supreme Court ruling on marriage equality, as well as in recognition of the upcoming two year anniversary of the repeal of the Defense of Marriage Act, we are making the film available free to any organization or media outlet who wishes to share it in support of marriage equality.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n

The short documentary A Mississippi Love Story<\/i> (2014, runtime 13 minutes) introduces the viewer to Eddie and Justin, a couple who travelled from their home in Jackson, MS to marry in California, and whose marriage is not recognized by their home state.<\/span><\/p>\n

The film premiered nearly one year ago, and has since garnered national interest and acclaim. It has been screened at film festivals internationally and was awarded \u201cBest Mississippi Short Documentary\u201d at the Oxford (MS) Film Festival in February 2015.<\/span><\/p>\n

Eddie and Justin, who are featured in the film, are excited about the decision: \u201cWe are so thrilled that Robbie [Fisher Productions, LLC] is making this public release at this significant moment,\u201d says Eddie. \u201cThis just shows the amazing support we have,\u201d says Justin, \u201cnot just from the producer, but also from community here in general.\u201d<\/span><\/p>\n
